Why We Built This Site
Michigan makes many records available, but custody depends on who created each document. Kalkaska Sheriff Records handles sheriff reports and booking material. The District and Circuit clerks maintain filed charges and outcomes. MSP CJIC runs the statewide ICHAT repository, MDOC publishes qualifying supervision data through OTIS, and MSP manages the Public Sex Offender Registry. We organize the verified contacts, request steps, portal limits, and known fees for those separate offices.

This is a privately run reference site with no connection to a Michigan court, sheriff, police department, or state agency. Those limits mean:

- We cannot file set-aside applications, public-record requests, or other paperwork for you
- We cannot issue certified copies of any criminal record, court document, or rap sheet
- We cannot give legal advice or explain how a specific charge or case applies to you
- We cannot guarantee that every phone number, fee, or address listed on this site is current right now
An official copy must come from the sheriff, the appropriate court clerk, MSP CJIC, or another office that maintains the original record. We can identify the route, but cannot issue the document.
